Wednesday Jun 10, 2009

There’s some new advice in the air for motorists who do not want their insurance premiums to go up.

Kwik-Fit insurance says not to cut costs on servivicing cars not matter how difficult things are. A Quickfit survey has revealed that millions of car insurance customers are considering to cut costs and save money by holdiong off on servicing.

Keeping our car away from the garage for its regular appointments could mean allowing minor faults to develop into bigger problems, even the kind that cause accidents.

As a consequence, if a motorist ends up in a collision as a results of not taking care of their vehicle by looking after it properly, he or she may end up seeing their premium increased, especially if the car is not considered to be roadworthy.

The survey also found that despite the fact that many drivers want to save money on servicing, they are well prepared to spend around £80 on valeting throughout the next year.

There is not much point in driving  a shiny car if it shouldn’t be on the road in the first place.
