SUBSCRIBE to stay current on EV news ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ electric-vehicles-cars-bikes.blogspot.com Worlds fastest street legal ELECTRIC CAR 1972 Datsun 1200 Whtie Zombie. Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $1.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms. This car is based in Oregon… there are something like 18 hydro electric power plants in that state! @rwese
yeah but nuclear doesn’t pollute the air
@pnotemusic I agree but was called a hippie for doing so.
@2wheelcrazy Amen
@monkey08642 Maybe you should have been the “one less kid”. Liberals see new life as another mouth to feed. Conservatives see new life as a possible solution to a problem.
@bjrog2 Typical liberal. You don’t like what I say so you revert to name-calling. You want a better solution?, drill in Alaska. That ought to piss you off! lol
@tsport100 Thank you for your input. What’s an ICE?
@tsport100 Thank you for your input.
@bjrog2 Typical liberal. Somebody asks a question or makes a comment and the first thing out of your mouth is name calling and bashing. You did not answer my question!
if you are going to make an electric car, use ltihium, not lead acid
@rwese I get so tired of this. READ THE DESCRIPTION…. there are 18 hydro electric power plants in that state!
It’s kinda funny how the source of the energy used is ignored. Likely a nuclear power plant at best (short term) or a coal power plant at worst, so you would just move the pollution from the car to the power plant.
It all comes down to efficiency if it’s really good / bad for the environment.
definately blends in with 10,000 stickers..
@MJDPROFETA All this info is on the website! The White Zombie has 350 hp and the rpm required depends on the gearing used.
How many horse power does it the plasma has? I planning to use a motor with 70hp dc 3600 rpm. Do you think this configuration will work fine for a car that weight 1,3 Tons?
A lot of people are “shocked” (bad pun, I know) by this. Why? This should come as no surprise to anyone. The technology behind electrical power and the associated automation control systems is advancing to astounding heights; it’s the way forward, folks. We’ve had it it in our homes for more than a century now, and we’re gonna have it on the road (look at Tesla and Fisker, just to name a couple). It’s only a matter of time, and when it does, you might wonder why it didn’t happen sooner.
@MJDPROFETA Advanced DC motors and a Zilla controller… they’re fairly garden variety components.
How can I email this guys? ON the web site has a email address, but the address it is wrong. What kind of motor DC he uses? Where we can buy this motor ? the controler where we can buy?
thats just fucking awsome
that car would be so much fun at the drags because if people had never seen it before and you blow away half the cars there then people would look at electric cars in a different light, i know i now have
@2wheelcrazy These Batteries are already made to be recycled when their useful life is up; this makes them less polluting.
The size and EXPENSE of these batteries also is what make it compelling to turn them in to recyclers upon completion of their useful lives.
@magiccrpet Shutup you fucking hippie. Volunteer a better option or get off your box
@magiccrpet For a Start, EV’s use 1/10th the energy of an ICE… so it is ‘responsible’ for AT LEAST 1/10th as much air pollution. Secondly… READ THE DESCRIPTION… This car is based in Oregon… there are something like 18 hydro electric power plants in that state!
Great! But to say it puts out no polution is just not true. Where did the electricity come from to charge the batteries? Unless it came from hydroelectric or wind power, pollution was caused somewhere. One other item, when it’s time to dispose of the spent batteries, are they a pollution nightmare? I’m not putting the electric car down but I have to ask these questions.
i love how this car is but i just dont like the fact that electric cars dont have sounds there just like muted videos to me but gratz to the guy that built it
This is where real innovation and invention of new ideas takes place. At the track!
